REFUND POLICY

JNJ Legal is a boutique Intellectual Property and Business Law Firm that provides various products, legal consultations, and legal services.

Though we look forward to servicing all of our potential and current customers and clients, we understand that there may be instances where you may need to cancel and/or reschedule appointments or products/services purchased. Please see the following clauses regarding our Firm’s Refund and Cancellation policy.

Regarding Products

JNJ Legal creates all of our products with the highest quality in mind!

Digital Products

Due to the virtual nature of these products, customers are not entitled to a refund after purchasing and downloading digital products.

Physical Products

Because our physical products, like clothing and household goods, are made to every order, they are non-refundable unless the item you have received is seriously damaged, wrong product, and/or incorrect sizing.

Once a package is shipped, JNJ Legal does not accept responsibility for any delayed and/or lost packages. Customers must contact mail service provider to inquire on the status/tracking of their package.

If there is any issues with your order upon receipt, customers should submit these issues and photos, if applicable, to info@jnjlegalservices.com within 72 hours of delivery for exchange and/or possible refund.

Regarding Consultations

Consultation fees vary depending on the type of consultation and are due in full at the time of booking. By scheduling a consultation, you agree to adhere to the following notice requirements:

No-Shows

For all appointments, failure to appear for any consultation appointment without notice is considered a “No-Show”. JNJ Legal is not obligated to refund nor reschedule your appointment. You will be assessed a cancellation fee equal to 100% of your consultation fee.

Discovery Calls

Should a prospective client need to cancel their scheduled Discovery Call, they are entitled to a full refund if cancellation notice is provided within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment.

Cancelling an appointment with less than 48-hours notice will result in forfeiture of 50% of your consultation fee.

Strategy Sessions

Strategy Sessions are non-refundable appointments. By booking this session, you understand that you are taking time off of our calendar where we could either help another person who may be waiting for this slot, or engage in other opportunities/engagements.

If you should need to reschedule your session, you should contact us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled Strategy Session.

If you are a No-Show or cancel with less than 24-hour notice, JNJ Legal is not obligated to reschedule or issue a refund.

Brand Name Consultations

Brand Name Consultations are non-refundable appointments. By booking this consultation, you understand that you are taking time off of our calendar where we could either help another person who may be waiting for this slot, or engage in other opportunities/engagements.

To secure your scheduled appointment, you will receive a second correspondence to fill out a Brand Name Questionnaire. You MUST submit a thorough response to this questionnaire at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time or your consultation will be cancelled and rescheduled only after you have done so.

If, for any reason, you need to reschedule your Brand Name Consultation, that should be done at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.

If you are a “No-Show” or cancel with less than 24-hour notice, JNJ Legal is not obligated to reschedule or issue a refund.

JNJ Legal reserves the right to cancel or modify consultation reservations where it appears that a client has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the consultation reservations contain, or resulted from a mistake or error.

Regarding Services

Once payment is submitted for any of our legal services, work commences immediately. You will not be entitled to a refund of any money submitted if not requested within the first 72 hours.

Trademarks

(a) If a client requests a refund within the first 72 hours, they will be entitled to a full refund minus our legal research fee of $400 if service has already commenced.

(b) Once an application has been submitted to the USPTO, there is no refund on our legal services or on application fees whatsoever. The USPTO will not refund you for submitted application fees.

(c) High-Risk Trademarks:

(i) If the results of your search report and accompanying Opinion Letter reveal that your intended trademark is a high-risk application, Firm will pause all work to allow client time to submit a new trademark for research. Clients are allowed 30 days to submit one (1) new name for a second complimentary comprehensive trademark search report.

(ii) Should we need to research any additional names, clients will be charged legal research fees for additional search reports.

(iii) Clients who still choose to submit a trademark application despite Firm’s advice and high-risk rating must confirm in writing that you have been advised of and accept the potential risks and conflicts associated with their application. They will not be entitled to a refund should this trademark application be rejected and/or denied by the USPTO.

All other legal services, including business formation, copyrights, contract drafting, etc., are entitled to refunds if requested within the first 72 hours.

As previously stated, once paid, JNJ Legal immediately begins to work on your project and intake you into our system as a client. Similar to trademarks, if requested within the first 72 hours, you will be entitled to a full refund of money paid minus any legal research or expenses we may have already incurred.
